About:
Hailing from the Netherlands, Avandee (pronounced as Ay-vun-dee) mixes his art with his music. He is originally from Zwolle but loves to be all around the country. He is 18 years old and studies Sound Design in Leeuwarden.
History:
'The passion for music began at a very young age. My dad always listened to 80's music in the living room so I started recognising some songs. One day I remember him being shocked by my ability to hum the melodies of the song that he put on. At the time my brother introduced me to EDM music like Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Skrillex. I absolutely fell in love with it and started listening to these artists myself. When I was 5 years old my parents bought drum lessons for me and my brother. That's where I learned how to play grooves and cadences. When I was 9 I started hanging out with my neighbour friend that made Hardstyle music. He showed me whats possible in the music making process and motivated me to start making music myself. At the age of 12 I had the privilege of DJ'ing at kids parties hosted by the church. During my time in high school I continued learning how to make music and I saw myself grow exponentially. This eventually gave me enough courage to take this seriously and start a Sound Design study to learn more about it.'
